A new report released today by Forrester Research is calling the tech downturn of 2008 and 2009 “unofficially over.” “Coming out of a lousy 2009, 2010 is looking a lot better,” said Andrew Bartels, the report’s author. “We see 2010 as the first year in a multi-year growth cycle. It’s not a simple rebound from a downturn.” Sponsor The report predicts IT growth in the U.S. to come in around 6.6%, more than twice the growth of the nominal GDP. Bartels said that this growth would be led by two primary factors: “smart computing” and a rebound in mature technologies. “Investments that were planned to be made were put on the shelf,” he said. “PCs will do very well in 2010 as a rebound.” As the economic downturn ends, we can expect to see a rebound in mature technologies as repairs and purchases that would have normally been made were put on hold until the economic situation looked more promising. To that end, a large variety of PCs, peripherals and storage devices will make a comeback, the…
Thanks! The other tutu vid on my channel is more classical. I may be working on a romantic tutu for a costume later this month. The only problem with a good classical is understructure, but I think I can figure out something inexpensive.

my suggestion, would be not to do any complete 'theme' because she's 13, and in a few years, the theme will get old and childish and she'll be a teenager and just want to completely redo it again. Vingtage is pretty cool though. I like those colors, as long as it isn't something she'll get sick of in a few months.
ideas for decoration
*COLLAGES! from magazines anything, reuse things and create new things, collage the wall, desks, shelfs, nitestands, anything.
*put up posters on the walls, picture frames of pretty things, i'm not sure what's in a vintage room, but whatever there is, you could frame an old picture of something vintage,
*tack up old cd's or records onto the wall for decoration
*get a comfy chair and a rug
*candles and incence

How to handle n-tiered architectures, where n is large: Use an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). Do not tightly couple components, connect all the components to an ESB, and create proxy services.

I have a 1990 5.0 h.o. that I’m putting in my 64.5 coupe. I’ve asked in vintage forums but nobody can answer my questions. What I have done so…
If you can do the carpentry, you probably don't need a book. The best site is an unheated basement but a closet can be substituted. Essentially, you build a small room and insulate it well. Add a window air conditioner in one wall. Remember that the outside portion will drip, so you need a receptacle for the water. Aren't you going to want to get the temperature down below 20 deg. C for proper fermenting, though?
I'm planning on doing something similar if I can find the right house.
i always got told it was unhygienic to put fresh flowers on a cake my mum wanted roses on hers but she wasnt allowed and had to have artificial ones!

You use the proper amounts of padding and margins where needed. Better to NOT use tables and use divs and CSS so you have more control over the page presentation and its contents.
For the cells you need vertical alignment, these are available:
style="vertical-align: top; | middle; | bottom;" Pick the one you need for the contents to align.

This was a very nice overview of RTI and the different tiers. I’m impressed with this school district’s implementation of RTI as well as by their video.
BRILLIANT!!! This is something I’ve been struggling with as well!!!

It’s the last day of our class here in Boston and I’m teaching all day today, so I need to bang out my Debunk-A-Myth-A-Day blog post before heading down from our hotel room. Incidentally, we’ve had fellow MVP Aaron Bertrand (Twitter|blog) in the class this week. He’s a fine, very knowledgeable fellow and has added a lot to the discussions from his experiences and earlier in the week he wrote a blog post describing his views on the class, and how hard it can be to take a week off production work. But I digress (as usual). Myth #2: DBCC CHECKDB causes blocking because it takes locks by default FALSE. In 7.0 and before, DBCC CHECKDB (and the rest of the family of consistency checking commands) were a nasty mess of nested loop C code that took table locks (and the nested loops made the algorithm essentially order-n-squared, for the programmers amongst you). This was not good, and so… In 2000, a guy called Steve Lindell (who’s still on the SQL team) rewrote DBCC CHECKDB to get a…
Working on the Global Escalation Services Team at Microsoft is really a cool gig. We’re privileged to work on several different Windows components at a very deep level so life is never boring. Here’s a list of the articles coming from the group in the next few weeks. Hope you enjoy! Ron Stock STORPORT Logging – Bob Golding discusses Storport logging. Beginning with the new versions, it is now possible to measure timing statistics for requests made to a system’s disk unit. These measurements are taken at the lowest possible level of OS interaction with the storage adapter hardware, making it much easier to diagnose storage performance issues.
